Step 2: after forcing down puke in the form of another fake flog, I get to (trumpet sounds) the corporate website wihch is really just the V-cast Verizon partnership in the form of a fairly interesting competition
Here are their rules:
1. Your audition video can be between 1-3 minutes in length, no larger than 12 MB and one of the following acceptable formats (dv, mpeg1, mpeg2, QuickTime, video for Windows® or Windows® media).
2. Audition in any genre you want — a talk show, comedy show, variety show, puppet show, cartoon show … whatever.
3. Let your creativity run wild, but not too wild. For the definition of “too wild,” check out the contest Rules.
4. And also check out the Video Tips & Tricks for help preparing your video for submission.
5. Then, beginning April 26th 2005, your acting debut will be placed on the site where visitors (including your friends and family) known as critics review and vote for the “Best Video.” Receive the most votes and you could win.
6. Cast Your Vote -Visit the site beginning April 26th to vote for your favorite clips. Every vote counts as an entry into the Critic Grand Prize drawing.
+ they have a variety of formats
- why shouldn't this be done through a cellphone?
- "wild but not too wild" - creative indeed :(
+ let people like you and me vote (of course)
All in all...a bit ho hum. I need more information on other ways they drove traffic to their website. And why the fakeness?
