When seeing RED is a good thing...

RedGreat extension of the cause new marketing trend and thread...this time in the form of a newly launched (red) credit card from American Express.

The collaboration with Amex and Bono is a smart and strategic way to stand for something real...to do good...and its hard to compare this authentic effort with all the celebrity-inflated work which preceded it.

There are several key insights to take away here:

1) The rise and role and importance of product as brand

2) The rise and role and importance of cause marketing

3) The rainboweque array of brand expression with colors. With this effort, Amex adds red to an existing repertoire of green, gold, transparent, silver, black etc.

As a parting thought....I see endless cross-promotion opportunities with Johnnie Walker. Cheers.
