Check it out...it's a slice of Grand Theft Auto life, or is it?
General blogo feeling right now is that this is great (4 out 5 stars on YouTube from 30 ratings...although this could be from the agency - good message everything u give come backts to u :))
Low views, but this could be the very beginning of the viral spiral...
I don't think you need to be a pimp-bashing, rampage-loving, pig-whacking GTA fan to enjoy this and quite frankly, I'm impressed with the nerve and resolve to have produced this (clearly some of the approvals came from those who have never played the game)
Good snuff all round (he-he)

I can't help but wonder if Coca-Cola would have run with this ad if they'd seen the eBay auction for the GTA: Vice City "coke" mirror before making the decision. Brings an all-new flavor to the idea of the "coke side of life".

I saw this ad last night at the movie theater. I was totally surprised (didn't expect this to be a Coke ad), and I thought that it was well done.

Unless they understood what GTA was all about, they wouldn't have approved the ad. Without understanding what GTA is, CSOL wouldn't have had any impact or relevance....
Neither Coke nor their agencies (W&K?) are that stupid.
Good job I think.

I think it is wonderful (even though I do not want to focus discussions on "ads"´:-). Coke ('s agency) both creatively and with insight play with the GTA context and, more important, are amongst the first to come out of the closet and admit that our world needs to get back on track with a better value base for brand meanings.

I think the reason this ad is so great is that it plays upon very specific knowledge of the target audience. The ad is filled with in-jokes that only resonate if one is familiar with GTA, then turns that knowledge around to reinforce preexisting connotations about Coke. Brilliant.
I think the views are low because there are many, many separate uploads of the ad competing for views.
The strangest thing is that I have been adamantly opposed to playing GTA... up until I saw this ad. Now I want to got get a copy of Liberty City Stories for my PSP!

I think this is a nice switch from the ordinary flaccid have a coke and a smile approach. This is grounded in a truth. Coke makes you so happy even videogame badasses want to kiss babies. It speaks right to the target and entertains you throughout.
This ad is a winner.

What makes this great is that the story isn't "Coke is great" but that there is a little story and Coke happens to be a part of it. It doesn't scream "Life is better when you drink Coke", it just suggests it.
