The Battle for the HeArt made its annual West Coast stops in LA and San Francisco this week.
On Tuesday night, we swung by Shutters in Santa Monica where a record-breaking crowd of over 200 came to celebrate creativity. You can read the review in iMedia here.
Court Crandall, Partner at Ground Zero, keynoted and Doug Schumacher MC'ed.
Here are some highlights:
First of all, props to Doug who uttered one of the most memorable sound bytes, "What is the R in ROI?" Kind of makes sense don't you think to answer that question before using (and often times misusing the term ROI like a throwaway cliche)
Court showed some really great work that GZ have birthed...from the series of ESPN "long form content" films to a sublime "experiential" play for Toyota to a great "communal" example with video game HEAT.
The quotations are on purpose as they correspond to chapters of my book....in other words - unbenownst to Court - his portfolio is a pretty good validator of new marketing and in turn, a demonstration that Ground Zero is actively practicing life after the 30-second spot.
The Battle makes its final stops in Dallas on Monday (25th) and New York (27th) on Wednesday. Show up. Speak up. or Shut Up.
