This year a number of marketers integrated online campaigns into their Super Bowl ads -- and all marketers made their Super Bowl ads availale for viewing online."
That's right...that's what the Internet is for - to replay 30-second spots! I want to vomit.
The more I think about last night, the more I feel ill. This year, the sum total of innovation was, "let's put the ads on our own corporate website, combined with an unprecedented number of me-too publishers doing the same.
One thing is for sure...more people than ever before will SEE the ads. However, in terms of creativity, media innovation, integration and ultimately efficacy, this year was a giant bust...no strike that, a borderline disgrace.
