10 things that will change your future?

I stumbled upon this article from the Sydney Morning Herald on 10 emerging technologies/trends/innovations etc which all seem to have a very strong common thread - conversation and specifically, community.

They are:

1. The Chumby
2. Microblogging
3. Everyblock
4. 23AndMe
5. Peer-to-Peer Lending
6. Mob Rules
7. Guerilla Wi-Fi
8. World Community Grid
9. Loopt
10. One Laptop Per Child
     

Whilst some are still a little far off on the horizon, Microblogging (Twitter, Pownce, Jaiku, Utterz) are all taking shape right now.

All in all, pretty interesting bigger picture comprising of 10 intriguing puzzle pieces.
